Bench was installed on Tuesday, 23rd December 2008. A number of people attended, mainly from Sustrans, Wednesday Wheelers and a few others who knew Pete. The seat is situated along side the cycle path (route 65) on the way out of York heading towards Rawcliffe and Skelton and is half way along the newly surfaced section through the wooded area near Rawcliffe Park and Ride.
